Responsive, knowledgeable, dependable, & honest. Thank you for getting out heat up & running!

Update:10/12/18
Chris S got the heat last year and remembered when he arrived today, asked if it had a problem since. He came back to do a PM on the heater and while he was waiting for me to arrive, he opened up the air conditioner to inspect it and saw the coils were filthy. Took out his hose and cleaned them. Then when done, did the heater PM and then โ€œsaid I just want to verify that ringing noise went away. Your house will cool much faster now!โ€ I really like what Princeton air offers, quality and care, diagnose and fix. Not rushing to get to the next job. Theyโ€™re so good I got the year round service plan.

Thank you!
The young man who came out to fulfill our annual service contract was extremely professional and was very thorough. Although he told us we needed a new ac unit I felt confident that he knew what he was talking about and took the right amount of time in order to make his recommendation. I want him back every year. Unfortunately I forgot his name because Iโ€™m old.

He then had Ricky call us with replacement ac unit recommendations. He was just as professional. He then took the time to visit our condo, take measurements himself and then made recommendations on what size unit to purchase. I really feel he saved us money. He was amazing.

We then were contacted by a gentleman named Steve who was a manager in the service and installation department. Itโ€™s hard to believe but he was just as good as the first two representatives and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was a true professional and a real asset to your organization. I will always use your company if I can work with this team. Keep up the great work. Thanks for allowing me to spend $8,000.its hard to believe I didnโ€™t even get other quotes because I was so happy with your team.

Recently Princeton Air did a routine maintenance check on our HVAC UNIT. The technician was Dominic McGinley. I must say Mr. McGinley was outstanding. After performing the maintenance and evaluation, he sat down with us and explained his findings in precise detail. He has also taken pictures of everything he found. Dominic was a pleasure with whom to interact. He was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything in terms that we could definitely understand. He is one of the finest technicians that has ever performed preventative maintenance on our equipment. In my estimation he has all of attributes of a first rate Service Technician. Hopefully Princeton Air just what a valuable asset he is for the company. I certainly hope to interact with him many times in the future.

Julian found an issue with the ac and resolved it. Explained what the component does that needed replacement.

Leak Detection and Pipe Leak Repair

Leaks can develop slowly over time or happen suddenly due to aging materials, corrosion, or pressure changes.

Professional leak detection and pipe leak repair services help identify the exact source of the issue and prevent further damage. Whether the leak is visible or hidden behind a wall, our team has the tools and training to find it and resolve it without unnecessary demolition to your home.

Modern leak detection methods use specialized equipment to locate moisture behind walls, under flooring, or beneath foundations. This technology helps pinpoint the problem without unnecessary damage to your home.

Many leaks can now be identified without extensive demolition. Acoustic sensors and pressure testing help professionals narrow down the affected area. This approach reduces guesswork and helps preserve surrounding materials.

A sudden spike in your monthly water bill may indicate a hidden leak. Even small, steady drips can waste significant amounts of water over time. Investigating the cause early can prevent larger plumbing issues.

Stains on ceilings, bubbling paint, warped flooring, or persistent musty smells can signal an active leak. These signs often indicate moisture buildup behind surfaces. Prompt attention helps prevent mold growth and structural damage.

Once the leak is located, our licensed plumbers repair the affected section with attention to the underlying cause, not just the symptom. Depending on the pipe material and the severity of the leak, that might mean replacing a fitting, repairing a joint, or swapping a compromised section entirely to prevent a recurrence.

Pipe Replacement

Over time, pipes naturally wear down due to age, corrosion, and mineral buildup.

When repairs become frequent or performance declines, replacement may be the more practical long-term solution. Upgrading older pipes can improve water flow and reduce the risk of ongoing leaks. Below are common signs that may indicate it’s time to consider pipe replacement.

If leaks continue to appear in different areas of your home, it may signal widespread pipe deterioration. Repeated repairs can become costly and disruptive. Replacement may provide a more reliable solution.

Brown or reddish water can indicate corrosion inside older pipes. This not only affects water quality but may also weaken the piping material. Replacing aging pipes can restore clearer water flow.

Mineral buildup or internal corrosion can restrict water flow over time. If multiple fixtures experience low pressure, aging pipes may be the cause. Replacement can help restore consistent performance.

Older homes may still contain galvanized steel or other outdated materials. These systems are more prone to corrosion and leaks. Modern piping materials offer improved durability and longevity.

Not every situation calls for replacing an entire pipe run. When damage or wear is confined to one section, our plumbers can replace that section cleanly, preserving the surrounding system while addressing the specific problem. This targeted approach is often the right answer when the broader system is still sound.

Pipe Retrofitting

Pipe retrofitting updates sections of an existing plumbing system to improve reliability and efficiency.

Rather than replacing the entire system, retrofitting targets specific problem areas. This approach can enhance performance while minimizing disruption. The following benefits highlight why retrofitting can be a practical upgrade for many homes.

Upgraded pipe sections can help reduce leaks and improve overall flow. Efficient plumbing systems waste less water over time. Retrofitting supports better resource management.

Replacing worn sections helps relieve strain on the rest of the plumbing network. Addressing weak points early can prevent more widespread damage. This proactive approach helps extend system longevity.

Retrofitting can strengthen vulnerable areas that are prone to corrosion or cracking. Reinforcing these sections lowers the chance of unexpected failures. Preventive updates can provide greater confidence in your plumbing system.

Modern materials and updated configurations can improve water delivery throughout the home. Retrofitting may also address layout inefficiencies in older plumbing systems. These upgrades support smoother day-to-day operation.

Many older homes develop pressure problems as pipes narrow internally or as new fixtures are added without balancing the overall system. Retrofitting with pressure regulators and properly sized supply lines restores even flow throughout the home and protects newer fixtures from excessive pressure.

Whole-Home Repiping

Whole-home repiping involves replacing all major water supply lines within a house.

This comprehensive solution is often recommended for aging plumbing systems experiencing widespread issues. A full repipe is a significant project, and our licensed plumbers plan it carefully to minimize disruption to your home while delivering a system built to perform for decades. Below are common signs that may indicate your home could benefit from a full repiping project.

If leaks continue to appear in different rooms or levels of your home, it may signal system-wide pipe deterioration. Constant repairs can become expensive and disruptive. Repiping addresses the root cause rather than fixing isolated sections.

Brown, yellow, or rusty-looking water often points to internal corrosion within older pipes. This can affect water quality and stain fixtures or laundry. A full repipe removes compromised materials and restores cleaner water flow.

When multiple fixtures experience weak flow at the same time, aging or corroded pipes may be restricting water movement. Over time, mineral buildup and internal scaling narrow pipe diameter. Repiping helps restore consistent pressure throughout the home.

Homes with galvanized steel or other aging piping materials are more prone to corrosion and leaks. As these materials deteriorate, reliability decreases and the risk of water damage increases. Replacing outdated piping with modern materials improves durability and long-term performance.

Today’s repiping projects typically use PEX, copper, or CPVC depending on the application and local code requirements. Our plumbers walk you through the differences, explain which materials suit your home’s specific conditions, and select the option that delivers the best long-term value for your situation.

FAQs About Pipe Services

How do I know if I have a hidden leak?

Unexpected increases in your water bill, damp spots on walls or ceilings, peeling paint, or musty odors can all signal a hidden leak. You may also notice reduced water pressure or the sound of running water when fixtures are turned off.

When should I replace my old pipes?

Frequent leaks, visible corrosion, discolored water, or reduced water flow are common signs that pipes may need replacement. Older materials such as galvanized steel are more prone to deterioration and may benefit from an upgrade to modern piping.

What is pipe retrofitting and why is it important?

Pipe retrofitting involves updating portions of an existing plumbing system to improve performance and meet current standards. It can help prevent leaks, improve water efficiency, and extend the lifespan of your plumbing without requiring a full system replacement.

How long does a whole-home repipe take?

The timeline for a whole-home repipe depends on the size of the home, accessibility of pipes, and the materials being installed. Most projects take anywhere from a few days to about a week to complete.

Do you offer emergency pipe services?

Yes. Princeton Air offers emergency pipe services to address urgent issues such as burst pipes, severe leaks, or sudden loss of water. Prompt attention to these problems is important to limit water damage and restore safe operation as quickly as possible.
