You deserve electrical service that’s scheduled quickly, priced clearly, and performed with the care the work requires.

Here’s how Princeton Air handles your electrical repair:

You phone us or request service online. Our team collects details about the issue (what’s happening, which room or circuit is affected, any safety concerns you’re seeing) and confirms an appointment window.

Your licensed electrician inspects the affected circuit, device, or panel, identifies the underlying cause, and provides written pricing before the repair starts.

Wilver was great. Knowledgeable, polite and efficient.
Repaired A/C
The person who came to fix the air conditioner was wonderful, efficient and extremely capable …
We could not be more impressed …
Stevin was very helpful and clearly explained the procedures he did for the AC unit. Also he pointed out what needed to be taken care of in the near future.
Diagnosis of a leak, good service, honest and thorough! Excellent service person, Jonathan and Jesus.
Service personnel arrived as scheduled and preformed the maintenance as included in our contract without and question, problem or difficulties.
Jonathan did a great job servicing our AC, heater and water heater all during the same visit. Very knowledgeable and professional. Would highly recommend.
Dominic was prompt, efficient, and most importantly, very friendly. He showed me exactly what was wrong and explained why. The fix was just as quick. Thanks Dominic and Princeton Air!
The Tech arrived on time, quickly figured out the problem with my AC and fixed within an hour. Pricing reasonable and professional service. Highly recommend!
Cruise was great! He addressed our AC issue quickly and professionally.
We’ve always been satisfied with McAllister and our recent experience since the merger has not changed that. We needed a new condenser for the A/C and they had a cost effective solution and were able to install it quickly.
Very efficient and on time
Princeton Air condition was extraordinary!! I received a very fair quote immediately after Inspection of my HVAC systemby their talented technician. Their technicians were prompts, professional, and polite. They installed a new system with precision and followed up Professionally. Totally proud to work with Princeton.!!
Ryan G came by and provide tips and recommendations so thorough and with full clarity that I believe will benefit in the long haul. Because of this, I was confident to re-sign up for their maintenance program. He was a true professional who is highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic with the work that he is called to do.
Jose and Corey were a great team and genuinely seemed to care about solving our issues.
I had A/C installed in May, but waited to write a review to see how effective the units can be once it's hot out. Now that I've gone through a couple high temperature days where I turned the mini splits on, I can post a review that I am completely satisfied with the installation by Princeton Air Conditioning and the ease of usage of units. I also will add that it was a pleasure to have Mike C. and Christian J. on the job; they, along with the crews that were on site over the course of the two days, were professional, communicative and upfront. I'd recommend this company to anyone looking for services.
Professional and friendly staff
Air conditioning wasn't working and they came out and got it fixed within a day. Ryan did a great job making sure everything was up and running quickly.
The job was done smoothly and efficiently and right on time
Ryan G got our old air conditioner working again quickly during a bad heat wave and, when we were ready, he explained all our options very well and laid the groundwork to make it easy for us to have installed a new air conditioner. Plus he rescued our cat three times when our cat tried to get out through the garage. He was very kind to all our pets and to us. Thank you, Ryan G!
Dominic was extremely pleasant, professional, and thorough,. He was also quite efficient. He quickly diagnosed the situation and was able to correct it. He also took the time to patiently explain my thermostat to me. Then he signed me up as a member. So he’s a pretty good sales guy too!
However, I then set up an appointment for maintenance and twice Princeton Air canceled me. I’m now set up for maintenance the end of June. And that’s after they tried to set me up the end of July and I complained. And this is after Dominic signed me up as a member. There’s something very wrong with their business model and I do not consider this good customer service. I will likely have to look for a different service…. something more responsive.
Tech (Alex) was on time, courteous, very professional. He let me know that, because of my contract w/McCallister, I would have no extra payment for the part needed.
The repair man, Dominic came out this morning to inspect our AC system. He was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and explained things very well. I work in construction and can tell you that Dominic is one of the best I’ve seen in years. Princeton air is very lucky to have him as an employee as he is SUCH AN ASSET to your company.

I also want to give a special thanks to Leah the customer service representative I spoke to. Also extremely kind and helpful. I have had the worst two weeks of my life and two strangers taking the time to kind made my heart smile. Thanks again Leah and Dominic. Chuck our Project Manager has been very kind and knowledgeable through this process as well. I am grateful for the people who work here as they made this pretty easy. Thank you all so much.
Latrell Romulus from Princeton Air did a great job of making sure my AC units were working properly. He was thorough and knowledgeable, and communicated potential areas of concern in a very clear manner.
Great job ! Very knowledgeable and informative. He made sure I was aware of any issues and explained it thoroughly! I look forward to having him again !!

Electrical Repair Services for Every System in Your Home

When something goes wrong with your home’s electrical system, the right response depends on the specific equipment that’s failing.

Princeton Air’s licensed electricians repair every major category of residential electrical system, from panels and breakers through outlets, fixtures, and wiring.

Your breakers protect your home’s wiring from overload and fault conditions, and a breaker that trips repeatedly, won’t reset, or runs warm needs professional diagnosis. Our electricians evaluate both the breaker and the circuit it serves to address the actual cause.

Your panel is the hub of every electrical circuit in your home, and panel conditions like corrosion, scorching, loose connections, or recalled equipment brands deserve prompt attention. Our electricians evaluate the full panel and recommend the right response, whether that’s component replacement or a panel upgrade.

Your outlets and switches see daily use, and dead outlets, switches that arc, or devices that run warm all point to conditions worth fixing. Our electricians diagnose the circuit, repair the device, and address related concerns like damaged wiring or failed GFCI protection.

Your home’s wiring carries every watt of electricity to every room, and wiring problems can range from a single damaged run to older systems with broader concerns. Our electricians repair modern Romex, legacy BX cable, and older wiring types that still serve many New Jersey homes.

Your light fixtures connect to switches, circuits, and sometimes dimmers, and flickering, dimming, or failed fixtures can trace back to any of those points. Our electricians diagnose the issue across traditional and LED lighting, including smart and connected systems.

Your standby generator provides backup power during outages, and starting failures, automatic transfer switch issues, or exercise cycle problems all deserve attention between events rather than during one. Our electricians service Generac and other major residential standby brands.

Why Princeton Air for Electrical Repair

Electrical work deserves a team that takes safety, code, and quality seriously.

Princeton Air has served New Jersey homeowners for over 50 years.

Your electrical work is performed by a licensed electrician. New Jersey regulates this work because mistakes create fire and safety risks, and the license is your assurance the person in your home has met the training and testing standards.

Your repair meets current electrical code, which protects your home, your insurance standing, and any future sale or inspection. Shortcuts have real consequences in electrical work, and our team doesn’t take them.

Your electrician de-energizes circuits before working on them, uses proper testing equipment to verify, and works with the safety standards electrical work requires. That approach applies on every job.

Princeton Air handles electrical work alongside plumbing, HVAC, and indoor air quality, which matters when an electrical issue touches other systems. A single company handling the trades your home needs simplifies everything that happens after the repair.

Some electrical issues are isolated and easily repaired; others are symptoms of a broader condition like an aging panel or a home that needs partial rewiring. Your electrician explains the options honestly so you can make informed decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Persistent tripping means there’s an actual electrical issue rather than a nuisance condition. The usual causes are a circuit that’s overloaded beyond its rated capacity, a short circuit in wiring or a connected device, or a breaker that has failed internally. A licensed electrician can identify which one applies.

Are warm outlets or switches a safety concern?

Yes. Warm devices indicate a poor connection, overheating wiring, or an electrical fault. That condition should be inspected promptly because overheating can progress to fire risk. Turn off the affected circuit at the panel and call a licensed electrician.

Is my older home’s wiring dangerous?

Older wiring can be safe if it’s been maintained and upgraded in the right places, or it can have real issues if it hasn’t. Knob-and-tube wiring, early aluminum wiring, and certain brand panels that have been recalled are situations that deserve evaluation. A licensed electrician can inspect your home and tell you honestly where you stand.

How do I know when my electrical panel needs to be upgraded?

Common signs include breakers that trip frequently, a panel that feels warm or makes noise, rust or corrosion on the panel, a service size below 200 amps in a modern home, or a brand that has been flagged for safety concerns (like Federal Pacific Stab-Lok or Zinsco panels). Your electrician can evaluate and recommend the right path.

Can I do my own electrical work?

Small tasks like swapping a light fixture can be within homeowner ability if done with proper precautions, but most electrical work is regulated by code and requires a licensed electrician. Work performed outside of code can create fire risk, invalidate insurance, or complicate a future home sale.
