Kitchen Sink Installation With the Plumbing Done Right Below

The kitchen sink takes more use than almost any other fixture in the house.

A chipped basin, a sink pulling away from the counter, or cabinet damage from a slow leak beneath is enough reason to replace the fixture that gets more use than any other in the kitchen.

Princeton Air handles kitchen sink installation with licensed plumbers, coordinated work across the faucet, disposal, and dishwasher connections, and clean protection of the counter and cabinet through the project.

After the install, the sink sits firm, drains properly, and the kitchen feels like a room you want to cook in. Schedule your installation online or call our friendly experts today.

Your Local Plumbers for Kitchen Sink Installation

A sink swap touches more of the kitchen than homeowners expect.

Kitchens across Edison, New Brunswick, Lawrence Township, and Princeton Junction were built with different drain layouts, different disposal setups, and different countertop materials to work around.

Our licensed plumbers have installed sinks in enough of these homes to plan the full scope of the job, including the drain line, the supply connections, the disposal, the dishwasher, and the countertop itself, before the old sink comes out.

What to Expect From Your Kitchen Sink Installation

You should know what the work looks like before the first fixture comes out.

A kitchen sink project brings the faucet, disposal, and drain lines into the same scope. Four steps keep your daily routines flowing with minor interruption.

Your licensed plumber reviews the existing sink, the counter or cabinet it sits in, the drain and supply lines, and any attached components like the disposal or dishwasher. Anything worn or out of code gets flagged before work begins.

Your counter, cabinet, and floor are protected throughout the work. The old sink and attached fixtures come out, the plumbing is updated where needed, and the new sink is set with clean connections and secure mounting.

Every connection is pressure-tested and visually checked for leaks before the job closes. The faucet, disposal, and dishwasher connections all get verified. You get a walkthrough of the shutoffs and the new hardware.

Your relationship with Princeton Air doesn’t end at the install. You have a local team with more than 50 years of experience servicing homes across the region, and we’re the ones you call when anything comes up.

We have used Princeton Air twice for our HVAC and once for plumbing. Each time, the technician was courteous and professional, and the issues were resolved. We recommend Princeton Air!
Tech from Princeton Air (Brian Hassan) showed up on time and performed yearly maintenance on our Kohler Generator. Very professional and courteous technician. Thanks for taking care of our generator like it was your own.

Just had a tech Cruise Rodriguez trouble shoot a minor wiring issue on our new Carrier furnace which was installed this week. As we were installing a new thermostat WiFi Honeywell there was a mismatch which Cruise located and rewired. System seems to be up and running with new thermostat.
Thank you Cruise for your expert help in resolving this issue.
Dominic is very professional and clearly knows what he is doing .
Jonathon and Louis were professional and neat! They Answered all my questions
Dominic was extremely pleasant, professional, and thorough,. He was also quite efficient. He quickly diagnosed the situation and was able to correct it. He also took the time to patiently explain my thermostat to me. Then he signed me up as a member. So he’s a pretty good sales guy too!
However, I then set up an appointment for maintenance and twice Princeton Air canceled me. I’m now set up for maintenance the end of June. And that’s after they tried to set me up the end of July and I complained. And this is after Dominic signed me up as a member. There’s something very wrong with their business model and I do not consider this good customer service. I will likely have to look for a different service…. something more responsive.
I had a great experience with Princeton Air. I had an issue with a part of my healer leaking. Within an hour of calling about this problem, Dylan, the technician, arrived at my house. He soon identified the problem. The next day 3 technicians came back and replaced the faulty part.
Repair went smoothly and efficiently, very satisfied.
One of the worries anyone with a new system would have is if it turns bad, how can it be cared of. Princeton Air answers that question. They responded quickly, sent technicians to look at the issue, and found the proper solution for you. The coordinator at the office is very nice; she would answer my email, and call me back about it even it was on weekends. Such a call is important because it tells you that you are not left out! Wish they will continue the good service. Feng.
Always appreciative of service from Princeton Air. This time it was to install a new quick-Connect hose for the gas grill. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Thank you for the great service.
Knowledgeable, Pleasant, provided insight for me to make an informed decision that best meets my needs
Technician was knowledgeable. He was able to find the issue quickly and fix the problem without issue.
Very good service. Cruise did a terrific job resolving our problem and was a pleasure to speak with.
I am so thankful to Princeton Air for sending to me your very best technician, Dominic M, on April 2 to do the maintenance for my air conditioner! Dominic is very professional, knowledgeable and talented. He was so thorough and he explained everything to me as he did it in a way to be sure I could understand. He explained what was working well and what problems needed to be addressed, then came out 2 days later and completed the repairs! I'm so thankful and I would highly recommend Dominic M!!
Brian Hassan the tech assigned to us was excellent. He was professional courteous and knowledgeable. I will ask for him again if we need anything. I will be using Princeton Air for electrical HVAC and plumbing

Dominic M was great. He was patient and set our new thermostat for is. It is a new type of thermostat that came with our new heat pump system and we didn’t know how to use it. Dominic really took his time and set it for us he was understanding and we appreciated his effort.

Robert D was here to check a switch and once again he was great. Professional expedient and overall very accommodating .
Tom did a great job of identifying and repairing a pinhole leak in our minisplit AC system. The cost was high, but the amount of labor and material justified it – these things ain't cheap! Tom is a very personable and knowledgeable tech.
Technician arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem with our air-conditioning as being the blower that was not operating properly. Karume advised us of the ordering process, quoted us a price for the part as well as who to contact at Princeton Air Parts Dept on Monday for more information on how long it would take for the part to come in and be installed. Karume is an exemplary employee and is always welcome to make a service call at our house.

Signs You May Need a New Kitchen Sink

Kitchen sinks usually fail gradually.

The wear shows up in ways that make the kitchen feel older before the sink itself fully gives out.

Hairline cracks in porcelain or enamel sinks, chips in stainless, and visible damage in composite basins all let water work its way beneath. Cabinet damage follows, usually unseen until it’s significant. A new sink resolves the leak source and gives us a chance to address any cabinet damage underneath.

Water under the kitchen sink signals a leak somewhere in the drain, the supply, or the sink itself. Drain pipes, supply lines, shutoffs, and the connection to the disposal all have finite lives. Replacing the sink is the natural moment to update the plumbing beneath it. Catching the source early prevents the kind of slow damage that leads to rotted cabinet bases.

Undermount sinks are attached with adhesive and brackets that eventually fail, especially under the weight of a full sink or disposal. A sink sagging away from the counter is a failure in progress. A new install secures the sink properly and addresses any damage to the counter from the old mounting.

Permanent stains, heavy scratching in stainless, or rust pitting through old enamel are all signs the surface has failed. The sink isn’t dirty, it’s degraded, and cleaning won’t bring it back. A new installation restores the visual condition of the most-used surface in the kitchen.

Single-basin sinks in active kitchens, shallow sinks that splash, or dated drop-ins in renovated spaces all drag down how the kitchen works. A larger basin, a farmhouse-style sink, or a deeper configuration can change the daily experience. A new sink built around how the household actually cooks is one of the highest-return kitchen upgrades available.

Why New Jersey Homeowners Call Princeton Air for Kitchen Sink Installation

A sink installation is a job where small mistakes show up as leaks for years.

For more than 50 years, homeowners across the region have called Princeton Air to do the job carefully.

Every kitchen sink installation is completed by a licensed plumber. The supply connections, drain alignment, and disposal integration all belong to someone qualified and accountable.

Kitchen sink projects touch countertops and cabinetry. We protect the finished surfaces throughout the job and correct any issues the old install left behind.

Sinks with disposals, dishwashers, or undercounter water filters cross trades. Our team handles the plumbing and electrical together so you’re not managing two schedules.

From older homes in Hamilton Township and Trenton to newer builds in Cranbury and Plainsboro, we’ve installed kitchen sinks across the range of counter and cabinet setups the region presents.

You know what the job will cost before the old sink comes up. Surprises are rare because the assessment is thorough.

Kitchen water damage escalates quickly, and we staff to respond when it does. Same-day or next-day scheduling is common when something can’t wait.

If the installation isn’t right, we come back. The relationship is built around the years the sink will serve you.

Complete Home Services For Your Home

A sink project rarely comes alone.

A kitchen sink touches the faucet, the disposal, the dishwasher, and the drains beneath. The full kitchen plumbing scope is what makes or breaks how well the install performs.

When your existing plumbing system needs diagnostic work or a repair, our team handles it with the same care we bring to installation. Catching a small issue early keeps it small.

Annual service is how a plumbing system hits its rated efficiency and lifespan. Routine attention turns a system that might have lasted 10 years into one that lasts 15.

New Jersey hard water shortens the life of every water-using fixture in the house. A whole-home water softener protects everything from the water heater to the kitchen faucet.

Kitchen plumbing projects often include the sink, faucet, disposal, and dishwasher connections in a single update. We coordinate all of it under one licensed team.

Schedule Your Kitchen Sink Installation

Kitchen Sink Installation FAQs

How long does a kitchen sink installation take?

Most kitchen sink installations take three to five hours. Undermount sinks, counter modifications, or significant plumbing updates below can extend that. Your plumber will give you a clear timeline during the assessment.

What sink styles can you install?

We install every major style, including drop-in, undermount, farmhouse, integrated stainless, composite, and fireclay sinks. Each style has different support and plumbing requirements, and we walk you through what your counter and cabinetry can hold.

Do I need to update my countertop to change sink styles?

Sometimes. Moving from drop-in to undermount usually requires countertop work. Staying within the same style often doesn’t. We evaluate compatibility before work begins.

Can you handle the disposal and dishwasher connections in the same visit?

Yes. Kitchen sink projects almost always include the disposal and dishwasher connections. Our licensed team handles the plumbing and electrical together.

What should I do if water is pooling in the cabinet below my sink?

That’s a call to make now rather than later. The source could be the faucet, the drain, the disposal, or the sink itself, and cabinet damage accelerates the longer it goes. We respond quickly to water issues and can often handle both the diagnosis and the replacement in one visit.
