What to Expect From Your Toilet Installation

You should know what the work looks like before we start.

A toilet install is decided at the flange, not at the bowl. Our technicians ensure to protect your flooring and work carefully throughout your home. The four-stage process below protects what sits below the floor.

Your licensed plumber removes the existing toilet and inspects the flange, the subfloor around it, and the supply line. Older installs often hide issues that only become visible with the fixture up.

The floor is protected, the flange is repaired or replaced if needed, and a fresh wax ring goes in beneath the new toilet. The fixture is set level, anchored to the floor, and connected to the supply with clean work.

Multiple flushes confirm the seal at the base and the operation of the fill valve and flapper. You get a walkthrough of the shutoff valve, the internal components, and what’s normal for the new toilet as it settles in.

Your relationship with Princeton Air doesn’t end at the install. You have a local team with more than 50 years of experience servicing homes across the region, and we’re the ones you call when anything comes up.

Our Tech Dominic was Awesome!! Thank you so much!!
On time. Completed work on all units … Heater, air conditioner, and hot water heater … Within the time frame.
After a few mishaps, Princeton Air came through and got my AC system running when the temperatures are soaring.

Thanks to Will and my technician, Alberto, for getting everything fixed.
Responsive, knowledgeable, dependable, & honest. Thank you for getting out heat up & running!

Update:10/12/18
Chris S got the heat last year and remembered when he arrived today, asked if it had a problem since. He came back to do a PM on the heater and while he was waiting for me to arrive, he opened up the air conditioner to inspect it and saw the coils were filthy. Took out his hose and cleaned them. Then when done, did the heater PM and then โ€œsaid I just want to verify that ringing noise went away. Your house will cool much faster now!โ€ I really like what Princeton air offers, quality and care, diagnose and fix. Not rushing to get to the next job. Theyโ€™re so good I got the year round service plan.

Thank you!
The young man who came out to fulfill our annual service contract was extremely professional and was very thorough. Although he told us we needed a new ac unit I felt confident that he knew what he was talking about and took the right amount of time in order to make his recommendation. I want him back every year. Unfortunately I forgot his name because Iโ€™m old.

He then had Ricky call us with replacement ac unit recommendations. He was just as professional. He then took the time to visit our condo, take measurements himself and then made recommendations on what size unit to purchase. I really feel he saved us money. He was amazing.

We then were contacted by a gentleman named Steve who was a manager in the service and installation department. Itโ€™s hard to believe but he was just as good as the first two representatives and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was a true professional and a real asset to your organization. I will always use your company if I can work with this team. Keep up the great work. Thanks for allowing me to spend $8,000.its hard to believe I didnโ€™t even get other quotes because I was so happy with your team.
Water purification system
Recently Princeton Air did a routine maintenance check on our HVAC UNIT. The technician was Dominic McGinley. I must say Mr. McGinley was outstanding. After performing the maintenance and evaluation, he sat down with us and explained his findings in precise detail. He has also taken pictures of everything he found. Dominic was a pleasure with whom to interact. He was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything in terms that we could definitely understand. He is one of the finest technicians that has ever performed preventative maintenance on our equipment. In my estimation he has all of attributes of a first rate Service Technician. Hopefully Princeton Air just what a valuable asset he is for the company. I certainly hope to interact with him many times in the future.
We recently used Princeton Air to install a new heater. They gave us lots of options, explained each one thoroughly, they arrived promptly on installation day and did a great job. The price was the lowest of three companies I contacted for estimates. Five stars!
Always professional and informative.

Benefits of a New Toilet

A new toilet is one of the simplest upgrades a bathroom can receive, and the returns show up daily.

Here’s what homeowners gain when they replace an aging fixture.

Modern high-efficiency toilets use about 1.28 gallons per flush compared to 3.5 gallons or more in older models. For a typical household, that’s thousands of gallons saved per year, and the reduction shows up on the water bill every cycle. The savings compound quietly in the background. You don’t think about it, but you pay less.

A properly installed toilet sits firm on the floor, seals cleanly at the base, and flushes the same way every time. Rocking, running, and constant repair calls disappear when the installation is done right from the start. You stop thinking about the toilet at all, which is how it should be.

A new wax ring, fresh anchor bolts, and a properly repaired flange keep water where it belongs. Older installations often hide slow leaks that damage the subfloor over years, and a new installation stops that quiet damage at its source. The bathroom stays sound from the floor up.

Updated toilets match updated bathrooms. A new fixture alongside renovated counters, tile, and cabinetry completes the space in a way an older toilet never will. Small details like the shape of the bowl, the height of the seat, and the quiet of the flush all contribute to how finished the bathroom feels.

Comfort-height toilets, elongated bowls, and bidet-ready configurations all let the fixture match how the household uses the bathroom. Aging residents, family members with mobility differences, and personal preference all shape the right choice. A toilet that fits the people using it is one of the quietest quality-of-life upgrades a bathroom can receive.

Why New Jersey Homeowners Choose Princeton Air for Toilet Installation

A toilet installation either holds for decades or becomes a callback within a year.

For more than 50 years, homeowners across the region have chosen Princeton Air for installations that hold.

Every toilet installation is completed by a licensed plumber with the experience to set a flange right the first time. The seal at the base and the connection behind the wall are where quality installations are won or lost.

Most toilet problems trace back to a failing flange. We repair or replace flanges as part of the install when the inspection calls for it, not as a surprise upcharge later.

Toilet installs involve wax, water, and awkward spaces. We protect the floor, contain the mess, and leave the bathroom the way we found it.

From older homes in Trenton and Hamilton Township to renovated bathrooms in Princeton and Lawrence Township, we’ve installed toilets in the range of subfloor and flange conditions this region presents.

You get a clear quote before the old toilet comes up. If the flange or subfloor needs attention beyond what was visible, you hear about it and approve it before work continues.

One trusted provider for every major system in the home. Familiarity across the house compounds over the years.

If the toilet develops an issue after our work, we come back. The relationship is built around the long view, not the invoice.

Complete Home Services For Your Home

A toilet installation often connects to other bathroom plumbing work.

A toilet install connects to the supply line, the drain, and the subfloor beneath it. The rest of the bathroom plumbing shapes how clean the install stays over time.

When your existing plumbing system needs diagnostic work or a repair, our team handles it with the same care we bring to installation. Catching a small issue early keeps it small.

Annual service is how a plumbing system hits its rated efficiency and lifespan. Routine attention turns a system that might have lasted 10 years into one that lasts 15.

New Jersey hard water shortens the life of every water-using fixture in the house. A whole-home water softener protects everything from the water heater to the kitchen faucet.

Full bathroom plumbing projects often pull multiple fixtures together, from tubs and showers to sinks and toilets. We handle the scope with one licensed plumber and one schedule.

Schedule Your Toilet Installation

A new toilet resets a fixture you shouldn’t have to think about.

If yours is rocking, running, or showing damage around the base, our licensed plumbers will install a reliable replacement with proper sealing, secure mounting, and careful cleanup. Call Princeton Air to schedule your installation.

Toilet Installation FAQs

How long does a toilet installation take?

Most toilet installations take one to two hours. If the flange needs repair or the subfloor shows damage from a previous leak, the timeline extends. Your plumber will walk you through the scope after the initial inspection.

Do I need to replace the wax ring every time?

Yes. A fresh wax ring is part of every installation. Reusing the old one almost always causes leaks and undoes the whole job within weeks.

What happens if the flange under my toilet is damaged?

Damaged flanges are repaired or replaced as part of the installation. Flange extenders are used when the floor level has changed due to new tile or subfloor work. Your plumber handles this during the install, not as a separate visit.

How much water will a new toilet save?

Modern high-efficiency toilets use about 1.28 gallons per flush compared to 3.5 gallons or more in older models. For a typical household, that’s thousands of gallons saved per year.

Do you haul away the old toilet?

Yes. Removal and disposal of the old fixture is part of the installation. You don’t have to deal with it.
