What to Expect From Your Bathroom Faucet Installation

You should know what the work looks like before anyone opens the cabinet.

Here’s the Princeton Air experience from your side.

Your licensed plumber reviews the existing faucet, the supply lines, and the shutoff valves underneath. Anything worn or corroded gets flagged before work starts so there are no mid-job surprises.

Your vanity and countertop are protected throughout the work. The old faucet comes out, new supply lines go in where needed, and the new faucet is set with clean connections and secure mounting.

Every connection gets pressure-tested and visually checked for leaks before the job closes. You get a walkthrough of the shutoffs and the new hardware so you’re comfortable operating and protecting it going forward.

Your relationship with Princeton Air doesn’t end at the install. You have a local team with more than 50 years of experience servicing homes across the region, and we’re the ones you call when anything comes up.

Our Tech Dominic was Awesome!! Thank you so much!!
On time. Completed work on all units … Heater, air conditioner, and hot water heater … Within the time frame.
After a few mishaps, Princeton Air came through and got my AC system running when the temperatures are soaring.

Thanks to Will and my technician, Alberto, for getting everything fixed.
Responsive, knowledgeable, dependable, & honest. Thank you for getting out heat up & running!

Update:10/12/18
Chris S got the heat last year and remembered when he arrived today, asked if it had a problem since. He came back to do a PM on the heater and while he was waiting for me to arrive, he opened up the air conditioner to inspect it and saw the coils were filthy. Took out his hose and cleaned them. Then when done, did the heater PM and then โ€œsaid I just want to verify that ringing noise went away. Your house will cool much faster now!โ€ I really like what Princeton air offers, quality and care, diagnose and fix. Not rushing to get to the next job. Theyโ€™re so good I got the year round service plan.

Thank you!
The young man who came out to fulfill our annual service contract was extremely professional and was very thorough. Although he told us we needed a new ac unit I felt confident that he knew what he was talking about and took the right amount of time in order to make his recommendation. I want him back every year. Unfortunately I forgot his name because Iโ€™m old.

He then had Ricky call us with replacement ac unit recommendations. He was just as professional. He then took the time to visit our condo, take measurements himself and then made recommendations on what size unit to purchase. I really feel he saved us money. He was amazing.

We then were contacted by a gentleman named Steve who was a manager in the service and installation department. Itโ€™s hard to believe but he was just as good as the first two representatives and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was a true professional and a real asset to your organization. I will always use your company if I can work with this team. Keep up the great work. Thanks for allowing me to spend $8,000.its hard to believe I didnโ€™t even get other quotes because I was so happy with your team.

Recently Princeton Air did a routine maintenance check on our HVAC UNIT. The technician was Dominic McGinley. I must say Mr. McGinley was outstanding. After performing the maintenance and evaluation, he sat down with us and explained his findings in precise detail. He has also taken pictures of everything he found. Dominic was a pleasure with whom to interact. He was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything in terms that we could definitely understand. He is one of the finest technicians that has ever performed preventative maintenance on our equipment. In my estimation he has all of attributes of a first rate Service Technician. Hopefully Princeton Air just what a valuable asset he is for the company. I certainly hope to interact with him many times in the future.
We recently used Princeton Air to install a new heater. They gave us lots of options, explained each one thoroughly, they arrived promptly on installation day and did a great job. The price was the lowest of three companies I contacted for estimates. Five stars!
Always professional and informative.

Signs You May Need a New Bathroom Faucet

Faucets rarely fail all at once.

They wear down gradually, and the signals build up before a full replacement becomes necessary.

A faucet that drips after shutoff is wasting water every day and wearing on the valve inside. Cartridge replacements help in some cases, but a faucet dripping from multiple points is usually past repair. The waste isn’t just financial. The constant sound and the mineral staining in the basin are daily reminders of a fixture that’s past its prime.

When handles move more than they should or the whole faucet shifts when you turn it on, the mounting or the base is failing. Tightening helps temporarily, but the underlying wear only gets worse. A new faucet sits firmly in place and stays that way. Replacing the fixture also gives us a chance to inspect the mounting surface and supply lines beneath.

Aerators clog and internal passages scale up over time. If cleaning the aerator doesn’t bring back the flow, the faucet body itself is usually the issue. A new installation delivers the pressure your plumbing can support, which makes daily tasks feel right again.

Rust streaks on the faucet, around the base, or on the handles usually signal internal corrosion. The damage gets worse, and the shutoffs beneath are often on the same timeline. Replacing the faucet is also the moment to update the supply valves so the next repair won’t be harder than it needs to be.

A faucet that doesn’t match an updated bathroom, or one that’s hard to operate with wet hands, drags down the usability of the whole space. Accessibility and style both matter. Modern faucets often include better reach, quieter operation, and touchless options that change how the bathroom functions daily.

Complete Home Services For Your Home

A faucet project often reveals other bathroom plumbing worth addressing.

A bathroom faucet connects to supply lines, shutoffs, and the larger plumbing system behind the wall. Every bathroom fixture plays a role in how the space works.

When your existing plumbing system needs diagnostic work or a repair, our team handles it with the same care we bring to installation. Catching a small issue early keeps it small.

Annual service is how a plumbing system hits its rated efficiency and lifespan. Routine attention turns a system that might have lasted 10 years into one that lasts 15.

New Jersey hard water shortens the life of every water-using fixture in the house. A whole-home water softener protects everything from the water heater to the kitchen faucet.

Full bathroom plumbing projects often pull multiple fixtures together, from tubs and showers to sinks and toilets. We handle the scope with one licensed plumber and one schedule.

Schedule Your Bathroom Faucet Installation

A new bathroom faucet is a quick upgrade with returns every day.

If yours is dripping, loose, or simply past its prime, our licensed plumbers will install a reliable replacement with attention to the surfaces and connections that matter. Call Princeton Air to schedule your installation.

Bathroom Faucet Installation FAQs

How long does a bathroom faucet installation take?

Most bathroom faucet installations take between one and two hours. Older homes across New Jersey sometimes need extra time when corroded shutoff valves or supply lines need replacing at the same time. Your plumber will give you a clear timeline before the work starts.

Can you install any brand of faucet?

Yes. We install every major brand and style. Bring the faucet you’ve already purchased or ask us for options that fit your sink and your budget during the consultation.

Do I need to replace the shutoff valves under my sink?

Often yes. Older shutoff valves corrode and seize over time, and replacing them during the faucet install is far easier than doing it later. Your plumber inspects them on arrival and recommends replacement only if needed.

Can a leak be repaired instead of replacing the whole faucet?

Sometimes. A cartridge replacement or seal fix resolves many minor leaks. If the faucet is old, corroded, or leaking from multiple points, replacement is usually the better long-term choice. You’ll get an honest assessment before a direction is chosen.

Do you handle full bathroom remodels, not just the faucet?

Yes. Princeton Air installs sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, and complete bathroom plumbing systems with the same licensed team. If the faucet project is the first step in something larger, we can plan the rest with you.
