Kitchen Sink Repair That Keeps the Kitchen Moving

You prep, cook, and clean up without standing water, leaks, or slow drains getting in the way. A sink that backs up, leaks under the cabinet, or drains slowly turns everyday kitchen use into something you have to work around.

Kitchen sink repair in New Jersey is handled by Princeton Air with licensed plumbers who identify whether the issue is in the drain line, trap, connections, or basin and correct it at the source. The repair is completed so water clears quickly, connections stay dry, and the sink holds up under daily use without recurring issues.

Call Princeton Air or schedule online today.

Emergency Plumbing Response for Active Leaks and Backups

You stop the water quickly and limit damage before it spreads through the home.

A supply line, drain connection, or backed-up line can release water fast and reach cabinets, flooring, and finished spaces before you notice.

Most active leaks and backups trace to pressurized lines, failed connections, or blocked drains that need immediate control and repair. Shutting off the nearest valve or the main water supply limits the immediate damage, and a Princeton Air licensed plumber is available 24/7 to locate the source, stop the water, and complete the repair before it spreads further.

How Your Kitchen Sink Repair Visit Runs

A kitchen sink call shouldn’t take longer to schedule than the actual repair takes to complete.

You reach us by phone or online. Our team collects details about what’s happening at your sink and confirms a visit window that works.

Your licensed plumber evaluates the sink, drain, trap, and any connected equipment. Pricing comes to you in writing before work starts.

Your plumber completes the repair, tests the sink fully, and leaves the space tidy.

The Tech arrived on time, quickly figured out the problem with my AC and fixed within an hour. Pricing reasonable and professional service. Highly recommend!
Cruise was great! He addressed our AC issue quickly and professionally.
Weโ€™ve always been satisfied with McAllister and our recent experience since the merger has not changed that. We needed a new condenser for the A/C and they had a cost effective solution and were able to install it quickly.
Very efficient and on time
Princeton Air condition was extraordinary!! I received a very fair quote immediately after Inspection of my HVAC systemby their talented technician. Their technicians were prompts, professional, and polite. They installed a new system with precision and followed up Professionally. Totally proud to work with Princeton.!!
Ryan G came by and provide tips and recommendations so thorough and with full clarity that I believe will benefit in the long haul. Because of this, I was confident to re-sign up for their maintenance program. He was a true professional who is highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic with the work that he is called to do.
Jose and Corey were a great team and genuinely seemed to care about solving our issues.
I had A/C installed in May, but waited to write a review to see how effective the units can be once it's hot out. Now that I've gone through a couple high temperature days where I turned the mini splits on, I can post a review that I am completely satisfied with the installation by Princeton Air Conditioning and the ease of usage of units. I also will add that it was a pleasure to have Mike C. and Christian J. on the job; they, along with the crews that were on site over the course of the two days, were professional, communicative and upfront. I'd recommend this company to anyone looking for services.
Professional and friendly staff
Air conditioning wasn't working and they came out and got it fixed within a day. Ryan did a great job making sure everything was up and running quickly.
The job was done smoothly and efficiently and right on time
Ryan G got our old air conditioner working again quickly during a bad heat wave and, when we were ready, he explained all our options very well and laid the groundwork to make it easy for us to have installed a new air conditioner. Plus he rescued our cat three times when our cat tried to get out through the garage. He was very kind to all our pets and to us. Thank you, Ryan G!
Dominic was extremely pleasant, professional, and thorough,. He was also quite efficient. He quickly diagnosed the situation and was able to correct it. He also took the time to patiently explain my thermostat to me. Then he signed me up as a member. So heโ€™s a pretty good sales guy too!
However, I then set up an appointment for maintenance and twice Princeton Air canceled me. Iโ€™m now set up for maintenance the end of June. And thatโ€™s after they tried to set me up the end of July and I complained. And this is after Dominic signed me up as a member. Thereโ€™s something very wrong with their business model and I do not consider this good customer service. I will likely have to look for a different serviceโ€ฆ. something more responsive.
Tech (Alex) was on time, courteous, very professional. He let me know that, because of my contract w/McCallister, I would have no extra payment for the part needed.
The repair man, Dominic came out this morning to inspect our AC system. He was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and explained things very well. I work in construction and can tell you that Dominic is one of the best Iโ€™ve seen in years. Princeton air is very lucky to have him as an employee as he is SUCH AN ASSET to your company.

I also want to give a special thanks to Leah the customer service representative I spoke to. Also extremely kind and helpful. I have had the worst two weeks of my life and two strangers taking the time to kind made my heart smile. Thanks again Leah and Dominic. Chuck our Project Manager has been very kind and knowledgeable through this process as well. I am grateful for the people who work here as they made this pretty easy. Thank you all so much.
Latrell Romulus from Princeton Air did a great job of making sure my AC units were working properly. He was thorough and knowledgeable, and communicated potential areas of concern in a very clear manner.
Great job ! Very knowledgeable and informative. He made sure I was aware of any issues and explained it thoroughly! I look forward to having him again !!

Kitchen Sink Problems Our Plumbers Handle

High-volume use is what drives most kitchen sink failures, and the symptoms map closely to specific repair points.

Princeton Air’s licensed plumbers have addressed every typical kitchen sink failure that comes up across Mercer County.

You see water pooling in the basin, draining sluggishly, or backing up from the opposite side of a double-basin sink. Kitchen drain clogs come from grease accumulation, food particles caught in the trap, or restrictions further down the line. Your plumber clears the blockage at the right point and verifies normal drainage.

You find standing water inside the cabinet, a damp base, or drips from the piping. Under-sink leaks come from trap connections, slip nuts, cracked tailpieces, disposal mountings, or dishwasher drain connections. Your plumber locates the source and completes the specific repair.

You see water escaping where the disposal meets the sink flange or where the dishwasher hose connects to the disposal. Disposal-related leaks involve the sink flange gasket, the disposal mounting ring, or the dishwasher drain connection. Your plumber replaces the failed component and reseats the hardware.

You notice cracks, chips, or structural damage to the sink itself. Some composite sinks can be professionally repaired; cracks in stainless steel or porcelain-coated cast iron usually mean replacement. Your plumber gives you the honest options.

You find the sink moving in its mounting. Undermount and drop-in installations can work loose from adhesive or mounting clip failure, and the fix is a reseat with new sealant or hardware. Your plumber handles the remount cleanly.

You find the sprayer on the sink deck not functioning, or a soap dispenser that’s stuck. These components connect into the same plumbing system and your plumber can repair or replace them during the visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my kitchen sink backing up?

The usual cause is a grease or food clog in the trap or the drain line beyond the trap. Double-basin sinks sometimes back up between basins, which often indicates a restriction in the shared drain line. A plumber can clear the specific blockage and check for related issues.

What causes leaks under the kitchen sink?

The most common sources are trap slip nut connections that have worked loose, failed disposal mounts, cracked tailpieces, or supply line issues. Dishwasher drain connections and garbage disposal drain points are also frequent leak locations. A quick inspection identifies the source.

Can I pour drain cleaner down my kitchen sink?

Chemical drain cleaners are not recommended for most kitchen sinks because they can damage rubber gaskets, corrode metal fittings, and create hazardous conditions if the drain doesn’t clear. A professional drain cleaning addresses the blockage without the collateral risk.

How long does a typical kitchen sink last?

Stainless steel sinks often reach 25 years or more; composite and fireclay sinks typically run 15 to 20 years; cast iron with porcelain finish can last decades with care. The drain assembly, disposal, and connections typically need service within that span.

Do you work with dishwashers connected to the sink?

Yes. Dishwasher drain connections to the sink or disposal are a common source of kitchen leaks, and our plumbers service those connections as part of kitchen sink work.
