Your home should feel quiet, private, and fully in your control.

When plumbing is installed with precision, everything simply works: no dripping, no slow drains, no water where water shouldn’t be.

Princeton Air handles plumbing installation across the full scope of the home, from fixtures and water heaters to repiping and sump systems, with licensed plumbers, clean work through every finished space, and permits pulled where code requires.

After the install, the system runs quietly, the efficiency upgrades show up on the utility bill, and the plumbing becomes something you don’t have to think about. Call Princeton Air today or schedule your plumbing installation consultation online.

Princeton Air’s licensed plumbers handle plumbing work across the Princeton, New Jersey area, and the homes here aren’t all the same. Older systems in long-established neighborhoods, newer builds with their own quirks, and plenty in between all land on our schedule. Our plumbers have worked on enough of them to recognize what they’re looking at, explain what the job actually involves, and leave the work in a condition that holds up.

Our Plumbing Installation Process

Plumbing installation succeeds or fails on the details behind the wall.

A plumbing install is planned before it’s built. Here’s how our plumbers work through it.

We begin with a thorough assessment of your home, your needs, and the unique characteristics of the space. Every recommendation is explained clearly, with options that prioritize longevity, efficiency, and code-compliant installation, so you can make decisions with full information.

Our licensed plumbers arrive prepared and work with intention. Surfaces are protected, disruption is minimized, and every component is installed precisely, following proper permits and standards. Shortcuts behind the wall cause problems later, and we don’t take them.

Before the job is considered complete, every connection and system is tested and verified. We walk you through the results, answer questions, and confirm everything meets our standards and yours.

Your relationship with Princeton Air doesn’t end at the install. You have a local team with more than 50 years of experience servicing homes across New Jersey, and routine maintenance keeps the system running at spec for its full life.

We had our annual HVAC preventive maintenance visit this week from Princeton Air, and I must say it was an excellent experience. Our technician did a fantastic job. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. He performed a very thorough health check of our system including: – Inspection of air filter quality and air blower condition – Complete inspection of the outdoor compressor unit – Checked for any refrigerant leakages and verified refrigerant levels – Inspection of the control panel including capacitor functionality test – Thorough cleaning of the panel He also gave us valuable advice on installing a Power Surge Protector and a UV Air Filter for better power protection and improved air quality. I have been a loyal customer of Princeton Air- they previously replaced my 25-year-old HVAC system and Tankless Water Heater with excellent quality work. Their service has always been top-notch. I highly recommend Princeton Air and Mr. Latrell Romulus for all your heating and AC needs. Thank you! Ramanareddy Devulapalli
Had both my original home furnace units replaced after 15 years. Dong Lin was the lead technician and was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He and his team did an excellent job removing the old units and installing the new units. And followed it up with an explanation on the unit and walking us through filter maintenance of our specific unit. Iโ€™ve use Princeton Air for my HVAC maintenance as well as for 15 years and they have always done a good job and even at times where things were not right the first time out they would promptly come back and make the appropriate adjustments.

Pricey, but good. Since my last electrician didnโ€™t show up for the appointment, I decided to go with a company. Anthony is the electrician they sent, and he is whom I will be requesting going forward.

I scheduled a maintenance call for my HVAC unit. Alberto was the technician who came. He did a great job explaining the issues with the unit given it is 10 years old and offered recommendations to keep it in good shape.

Princeton Air went above and beyond fixing my broken dehumidifier. Their technician spent a lot of time troubleshooting the issue and even got on the phone with the manufacturerโ€™s technical support to get to the bottom of it. Once they determined it was a warranty issue, they took the extra step of hauling away the old unit, picking up a replacement, and installing it themselves โ€” no extra hassle on my end. Itโ€™s working perfectly now. Great service and real dedication to getting the job done right. Highly recommend!

Types of Plumbing We Install

A full plumbing scope spans every fixture, every line, and every piece of water-moving equipment in the house.

These are the plumbing types running across New Jersey homes, from the incoming supply to the outgoing drain.

Water conditioning covers everything upstream of your fixtures: water heaters and whole-home water softeners. In New Jersey, where hard water shortens the life of every fixture it touches, both matter.

Tank and tankless water heaters each fit different households, and a properly sized unit pays for itself in both efficiency and longevity. A water softener added in front of it protects the tank, the fixtures, and every appliance downstream from scale buildup that quietly destroys plumbing from the inside.

Sewer work is the drain side of the house. Main sewer line installation, drain line replacement, and sump pump systems all fall here. The scope extends from the fixture trap to the municipal tie-in. Excavation, line pitch, and sump sizing each decide whether the system works for 30 years or fails during the next big storm.

Primary and battery-backup sump pumps get specified against the actual water table and usage patterns of the property, not a generic rule of thumb.

Kitchens run through more water than any other room, and the plumbing has to keep up. Sinks, faucets, garbage disposals, and dishwasher connections all tie into the same scope, and coordinating them under one licensed team is how the project stays on schedule.

Finish work under the cabinet gets the same attention as the fixture on top of it. A faucet that looks perfect above the counter and leaks onto the cabinet floor is an install that cost more than it needed to.

Bathrooms should be effortless. Toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, and tubs each go in with attention to function and finish, and a well-installed fixture leaks never, wobbles never, and looks right on day one and year ten.

Rough-in work behind the wall sets up the finish work in front of it. When the rough-in is right, the trim goes fast; when it’s wrong, every subsequent install fights against it. A full bathroom plumbing scope stays coordinated under one schedule and one team.

Behind every well-functioning home is a properly installed piping system. Updating aging pipes, installing new lines for an addition, or repiping an older home end-to-end each demand long-term reliability and strict code compliance, plus structural protection for the home during the work.

Repiping is disruptive when it’s done badly and invisible when it’s done well. Finished surfaces get protected, shutoffs get coordinated so the household has water when it needs it, and service gets restored cleanly at the end.

Plumbing Installation FAQs

How Long Does Plumbing Installation Take?

The timeline depends on the scope of the project. A single fixture installation may take just a few hours, while larger projects like repiping or whole-home installations can take several days. We provide a clear schedule upfront and work efficiently to minimize disruption to your home.

Do I Need Permits for Plumbing Installation in New Jersey?

Many plumbing installations require permits to ensure the work meets local building codes and safety standards. Working with a licensed provider like Princeton Air means permits are handled properly, protecting your home and preventing issues during future inspections or resale.

How Do I Know if It’s Time to Replace My Plumbing System?

Common signs include frequent leaks, low water pressure, discolored water, or aging pipes. If your system is showing these issues, a professional evaluation can determine whether targeted upgrades or a full replacement is the best long-term solution.

Why Should I Hire a Licensed Plumber for Installation?

Licensed plumbers are trained to follow code requirements, secure proper permits, and complete installations safely and correctly. This reduces risk, protects your home, and ensures your plumbing system performs as intended.

Is It Better to Repair or Replace Plumbing Components?

It depends on the condition and age of the system. Minor issues can often be repaired, but recurring problems or outdated components may benefit from replacement. Princeton Air will help you choose the most reliable and cost-effective path forward.
